Windows 10: Page File Movement

Trying to add page file in D Drive as C:\ has low disk space, though its allowing to add the page file details in systems\advanced settings, but when restarting the page file size reflecting only the C:\ drive allocation

Page File

Set minimum and maximum to a constant number as suggested by others, that will help reduce fragmentation on the drive coz of different page file sizing.

 

Recovering files

Hi, you would need to describe exactly what you have done step by step as the possibilities in your minimal description are many. We don't even know for sure exactly where your original disk is or what method you have used, so no point suggesting data recovery methods yet. Page File

I would never turn off your page file. Ever. EVER! I put my page file on a separate partition in the middle of the HD, so it is about 2% faster! If you have to mess with your page file, do what I did.
