Windows 10: Windows 11 23H2 German / adding EN-US language pack using Settings/Select Time &...

Hello,on my son's Windows 11 23H2 PC it is impossible to add the English-US language pack to the primary German language using "Setting/Time & Language/Language".The "language pack" downloads OK but the other packs including speech recognition and extended speech recognition, text to speech etc. are hanging at 0% of the download or maximum at about 30-60%. Then nothing happens anymore.Restarting the PC results in "updates are to be installed" for hours - after that process finishes finally the language packet US-EN is still not installed.Removing it and trying again result in the same

I suggest you to try the below steps to change/add the language and check if it helps.

• Press Windows key, click Settings. Select the
  Time and Language Icon.
• In the next window, click Region and Language. Click
  Add A Language.
• Select the language (English/ German) you want to use. This will add the language to the
  Region and Language window.
• Click the Language that you added and select the Add As Default button. You can also click the
  Options Button and add a keyboard for the new language.

Also, refer to Language Control Panel to change the system language.

can't access my windows french language pack or german language pack; it is installed, but does not show up on one drive, ubs, or hard drive

If the Windows French language pack or German language pack were already installed on your computer, it should appear on the list of your Preferred languages. To check, just navigate to
Settings > Time and Language > Region & language. Under Languages you'll see your
Preferred languages. Kindly look into the list and check if both language packs appear.

If both languages appear on the list and you want to use it without changing the current Windows display language, then just add its keyboard. Follow these steps:

1. On the Preferred languages, just click the French or German language pack, then click
   Options.
2. Click the plus sign to Add a keyboard.
3. Select your preferred keyboard layout.

Can I manually install a language pack for windows 11?

After installing Windows 11 23H2 update over Windows 22H2 all setting and most windows form are appearing in German that it is the initial language when laptop was purchased but with US or UK language pack installed this was not an issue until this update to 23H2 has been installed. I tried removing and adding back the language pack but not luck. Is there a way to fix that? Can I download from a URL the US or UK language pack and install it manually?
