Windows 10: Windows 11 File Explorer Directory Structure - WHERE ARE THINGS

SORRY, but I don't care what you say, the directory, folder structure displayed in File Explorer IS A MESS, pretty much unfathomable to navigate.1 There are a least about a half dozen Documents folders found under folders named: Desktop, Home, a Folder with my name, This PC, Libraries, C: - and even some of the Document's folders have another Documents folder underneath it. 2 And another problem, related to 1 above - I start out in Desktop, find the/a Documents folder, then find a "My TurboTax" folder - and if I click on it, I end up the "Ron - Personal" Cloud folder selected. Windows 7 directory and file structure

A recent MS update resulted in my directory and file structure being moved into "Libraries". I do not want to use libraries. How do I get back to the original pre-library structure? I can see it when I do a "save as" , like copying an IRS form, but I
only see libraries when I use "Windows Explorer"

 

Windows 11 File Structure

Microsoft pushed Windows 11 to my laptop, but my desktop machine is still on Windows 10. It would be nice to have both machines on the same OS. However...

The file stucture in Windows 11 is really confusing. There is a desktop link on top and another desktop link inside it. Everything on the desktop is listed in the top desktop folder, and then in another desktop folder within the top desktop folder. Pictures and music and videos are listed in the top desktop structure and then again in a folder called Libraries. Desktop files are also repeated in the C drive folder>Users>MyName>desktop.

Why is everything listed in multiple places in the file structure? Can I change that file structure? How? I'm afraid to just delete the folder called desktop inside the top desktop folder.
