  1. Cannot change the system sounds output device in volume mixer

Hi there, my Windows 11 cannot change the output device option "system sounds" in the volume mixer. I just want to change it to my different speaker but when I click the output device setting menu, it only bring up default option. I just want the system sounds play on my other speaker but not the default playback devices. It seems that Windows doesn't allow change the system sounds playback device from default so the menu doesn't show my other devices. I hope Microsoft can correct it or can you suggest some ways for me do do it? I want to have a working method or a vaid promise.Thank you so mu

    :)

  2. Volume Mixer

    Hi,

We would like to know more about your concern.

    1. Are you getting an error message when using volume mixer with mic?

    2. Have you made any changes to your computer?

You may also follow the steps below:

    • Can you right click on Speaker Icon - Playback Properties -
    • Click in blank area in box -
    • Check show disabled devices & show disconnected devices - look around in there.

We suggest that you disable the Icon try to reboot your PC and then enable the icon. You may also need to reinstall your sounds driver.

    Let us know the outcome.

Stop Sound Mixer from changing volume

The volume sound mixer doesn't change the volume itself, it just reflects the current state of the volume.

The program itself is what's changing the volume, and the sound mixer shows this.

The solution depends on what program is causing the volume to change. Some programs have automatic adjustment settings you can disable. What program is getting its volume changed?

sound level on the sound system

    Hi

    Welcome to Microsoft community.

You can customize the sound level for individual applications through the Volume Mixer. Here's how you can access it:

    1. Right-click on the Volume icon in the taskbar (usually located in the bottom right corner) and select "Open Volume Mixer."
    2. A Volume Mixer window will open, displaying a list of all the applications that are currently producing sound.
    3. Find the application for which you want to customize the sound level and adjust the corresponding slider to increase or decrease the volume for that specific application.
    4. You can also click on the speaker icon below the slider to mute or unmute the sound for that application.
    5. Repeat these steps for any other applications you want to customize the sound level for.
By adjusting the volume levels for individual applications in the Volume Mixer, you can have more control over the sound output on your laptop.

    Best regards
