Windows 10: How to make a bootable Windows 11 USB on a non-windows device or on a device that has an...

Hi guys, I was wondering on how to make a Windows 11 USB on a non-windows device or on a windows device but the account on it is limited and needs administrator permissions to run the media creation tool, that is because I’m looking for a way to make a bootable USB for my other laptop running windows 11 which I can’t log onto on either a Windows device which I can’t obtain administrator because I need permissions and some problems like that or on a Chromebook. Any solutions would help.

Multi-bootable USB

Hey guys from TPU, couldn't find any specific thread pertaining to the question asked on title. As mentioned, I'm trying to create a bootable USB, but with many specifics boots available.

I've been trying to create one with multiple boot device including one that enables me to run Windows 10 directly on the USB Thumb Drive but to no avail.

The list of bootable images i'm trying to create are

1. Windows 10 (A full OS running from thumb drive)
2. Windows 10 ISO (Bootable disk image for fresh install)
3. MemTest86+

Have tried YUMI or UUI from the website USB PenDrive Linux but as this is my first time, i don't know how am i screwing up or am doing it right.. Anyone got a rough idea on a step by step guide? Thanks!

 

[SOLVED] Windows 8.1 Not Detecting USB Devices

It is possible you may need to run VIAO update, after your upgrade to 8.1, to check for new drivers and patches.

Edit: Also, have you gone to device manager and check the item in the menu "show hidden devices".
See if their are any problems, uninstall any usb devices, and their associated listings in the other sections of the device manager that should not be there.

If need be... try GhostBuster to remove any ghosted devices you need/want gone.

You may need to do a refresh of Windows 8.1 as a last resort.

Im presuming its hidden where show non present devices registry entry is needed. Ive had weirdness with usb myself in Win 7.
