  1. Mouse Cursor No Longer Locks to Crosshairs in Games

Since yesterday I've been experiencing an issue with my mouse. In games such as Minecraft and Roblox, where my cursor is supposed to lock, its been able to flow freely and has caused many experiences of tabbing out or other related issues. I know that others are having this problem so I think a recent update may have caused it. If possible, I'd like help with fixing this issue to allow my sanity to remain while playing games. Thank you for your time.

    :)

Mouse cursor not locked to crosshair in UWP applications

My mouse cursor isn't locked to my crosshair when I'm unpaused from Minecraft or other apps. I've tried reinstalling and resetting Minecraft, no good. Restarting my PC, no good.

    Resetting UWP apps through Powershell seems to not work either;
    HTML Code:
Here's a short demonstration of the bug:

Such a mind boggling issue. Can't find a solution for this problem even on the internet.

Things I've tried that provided no solution:

    • Resetting/Uninstalling Minecraft
    • Reinstalling UWP apps to their defaults.
    • Shutdown/Restarting my PC.
    • Repairing my computer with SFC and DISM
    • Repairing my PC with Windows Media Installation Tool (Upgrade PC Keep Files Option)
    • Uninstalling/Reinstalling my mouse drivers.
I have tried recovering from a restore point and it seemed to fix the issue temporarily but the issue returned.

    Hello Jabron,

Thank you for posting your concern in Microsoft Community and welcome to the windows 10 Family.

We appreciate the time and effort you have put in to resolve the issue. I would like to assist you with further information from here.

Sometimes with a multiple monitor setup when you move your mouse from left to right inside the game the mouse can leave the game and move to a different monitor. If while your mouse is on the other screen you click (thinking you are still in the game) it
can alt + tab you out of the game and in some cases crash it.

As an initial recommendation, I would suggest you to define a Keyboard Shortcut to Lock or Unlock Mouse Movements to the Monitor with Mouse Cursor. Once Mouse is Locked to one Monitor, you will not be able to move the Mouse Cursor to any other Monitor unless
you Unlock Mouse by pressing the Keyboard Shortcut again

Hope the above information was helpful. If you need further information, feel free to write to us and we would be happy to help you.

    Thank You.
