Windows 10: I have windows 10 PRO updated from win 7 10 months ago

The last update KB5046613 was installed and it showed it completed. When I tried to open the start menu to turn off my computer I keep getting a message critical error with the start menu. Says will try to fix it the next time I log in. after 20 try's I had to use the restore system to get the start menu to work again. Any ideas why it only affected my start menu popup?If I let it do the update again will I still be able to restore it again if it does this again.

Win 10 1607 update

Installed the update manually at the the moment everything is bueno.
It seems that Microsoft has a big problem in there update department windows 7 update has problems win 8 update has problems. Windows 10 update is so-so.

 

Is it time for Windows 10 already?

Windows 10 pro

If you want to change the motherboard, grab Macrium Reflect free and do an image to an external drive.

Swap out the motherboard and then bring the image back after formatting the hard drive.

I just did this about 2 months ago and it activated without issues. It is an upgrade 10 pro from 7 pro.

Didn't seem to have any issues since.

It was after the anniversary update.
