Windows 10: Thinkpad Universal USB-C Dock not recognizing 2nd Monitor only when 2 monitors are plugged...

As title says, I have a Thinkpad Universal USB-C Dock that has displayed both monitors just fine for the past 2 years. I've recently went on a trip taking my laptop and after returning and plugging in the USB C connection, the dock only recognizes a single monitor.I currently have a monitor connected via Display port and a monitor connected via HDMI port. And only the HDMI port connected monitor is displaying when both monitors are plugged into the dock. If I remove one of cables from the docking station, either monitor will display....meaning if I have the Display port connected only, that

USB-C monitors connected to Dock doesn't work at login screen

I have a Lenovo Thinkpad T14 (AMD) and a Lenovo Thinkpad USB-C / Thunderbolt dock.

The laptop ONLY has USB-C , NOT Thunderbolt.

My issue is that the 2 monitors connected to the dock are not detected if i connect the dock before logging into Windows 10

eg:

1. Computer is hibernated or sleeping

2. I Connect the USB-C dock

3. I turn on the computer

The computer starts up and the login screen is presented, but the monitors are not working.

I then login to Windows but the monitors are STILL NOT found.

I then need to unplug the USB-C cable and plug it in again.

NOW the monitors will get detected and start working.

this is driving me nuts, because i kind of expect that the monitors are working regardless of WHEN i plug in the USB-C

 

Anyone using a Universal Docking Station - for 2 monitors on a laptop?

My laptop at work connects to 2 FULL HD (1920 x 1080) monitors through a USB docking station linked below. I actually get triple monitors because I can also use the laptop screen as the third monitor. This docking station will work from a USB 3.0 port. You can also order a cable to plug it into USB-C. As far as entering the BIOS before the Windows driver loads, just unplug the docking station from the USB port if you need to do that. Otherwise, once it is set up the video driver (display link) loads before you log into Windows, so your login screen will appear on the monitor connected to the docking station.

ThinkPad Dock not connecting to monitor after installing KB5030211

ThinkPad USB-C Dock Gen2 40AS not connecting to monitor after installing KB5030211. I've tried unplugging it and turning it off and on and it's not working.
