Error "0x8007016A" when trying to delete an old onedrive file/folder

I currently Tried to clean up my files and organize as i am done with school. My previous school used one drive so you could access things at home. I am having an issue with getting rid of this onedrive and all the folders in it but cannot as "the cloud provider is not running". All of the fixes i have seen online point to signing into the onedrive with said account, but im unable to now because im no longer in their system. How can i possibly get rid of these if i cant sign into the onedrive in the first place? This is very frustrating because some files automatically want to download to this

    :)

Folder Icon on Desktop will not delete - error 0X8007016A

Just installed a fresh copy of W10 on my neighbors Lenovo M61P system. All went well. However, an Icon appeared on the desktop for some old Firefox files - probably from one of his Microsoft Cloud backups. For some reason Windows will not let me delete the Icon or the folder. It has been there for several years and does not contain useful information. The Error code is 0X8007016A. Help appreciated.

  4. Error "0x8007016A" when trying to delete an old onedrive file/folder

How to copy files that are no longer attached to OneDrive and error 0x8007016A?

I have several files that refuse to copy off my c drive to an external due to error code "Error 0x8007016A: The cloud file provider is not running". These files were once stored in OneDrive, but I have not used OneDrive in over a year and the files were deleted from that OneDrive. So all the suggestions concerning OneDrive sync and resetting OneDrive do not do anything. Also my system is fully up to date.

These files all open fine locally. How do I copy them and avoid this error?

    Thanks very much
