Windows 10: password issue

So my little brother was at school today and he got back and wanted to start up his pc.Everything was fine his account is there and everything but his password is wrong.And we know a 1000% its right because we write every password down for every device and account.So we wanted to reset factory but we couldnt because we have to log in the account but the password is been resetted. And i know he couldnt have done it because the pc was on the hole night because he forgot to turn it off and i was alone with my mom home.So please could someone help us

Password issue

After going through the steps to make a new password, after a week or two, my login credentials are no longer valid. I'm forced to make a new password all over again. It seems to happen if I don't login in a certain period of time. Does our passwords expire???

If that setting is already enabled, then I suggest as the next troubleshooting step might be Mozilla Safe Mode (not to be confused with Windows Safe Mode)):
