Windows 10: Windows Black Screen Started Nov 15, 2024

Hello! It seems my computer went for an update on it's restart. Now, the PC flashes the HP logo, before going to a black screen.I've reset the computer a number of times. Sometimes the HP logo doesn't appear and it goes immediately black. I am able to get into the computer using 'Safe Mode'. I am not able to restore my pc from a previous backup. I've had the PC for 4 years and updates always seem to be a bit of an issue, but it's never gone to this black screen. Sounds like the old... windows black screen of death.

Google search and you will find a lot of the "Windows Black Screen of Death with cursor" fixes.

I would suggest you try the power troubleshooter if you are able to boot into the system.

Follow the steps below.

• Press Windows key + W and type Troubleshooting.
• Select Troubleshooting and click on System and Security.
• Click on Power and follow the onscreen steps.

Endless black screen without anything but it is on
