Can't change view/scrolling settings for taskbar calendar on Windows 11

I'm looking to change a setting on my Windows 11 taskbar calendar. When I open the calendar, the display accurately IDs the month in the top left November 2024, however the entire month of November is not shown. Rather, the first week shown is the week with the current date the 14th. This also means that when I scroll to the next month, December, rather than seeing the whole month of December, it just scrolls 4 weeks down and the top row of the calendar is the week containing the 14th of December. In short, when I open the taskbar calendar, I just want to see the whole month, including pas

  2. WINDOWS 11 - Doesn't show my calendar on TaskBar

    Dear Community Member,

I understand that you've been facing an issue with the calendar not displaying when you click on the time in the taskbar on Windows 11. This can indeed be frustrating, especially if you rely on the calendar for your work. Let's try a few troubleshooting steps to see if we can resolve this issue:

    1. Restart the Windows Explorer process:
      • Right-click on the taskbar and select "Task Manager" from the context menu.
      • In the "Processes" tab, locate "Windows Explorer" and right-click on it.
      • Choose "Restart" from the menu.
      • Wait for the taskbar and desktop to refresh, then check if the calendar now appears when you click on the time.
    2. Check the taskbar settings:
      • Right-click on an empty area of the taskbar and select "Taskbar settings."
      • In the settings window, scroll down to the "Notification area" section and click on "Turn system icons on or off."
      • Ensure that the "Calendar" option is set to "On."
      • If it was already enabled, toggle it off and on again, then check if the calendar appears.
    3. Update Windows 11:
      • Make sure you have the latest updates installed for Windows 11.
      • Go to "Settings" by pressing Win + I on your keyboard.
      • Click on "Windows Update" and select "Check for updates."
      • If updates are available, download and install them.
      • After the update process is complete, restart your computer and see if the calendar is now visible.
    4. Create a new user account:
      • Sometimes, issues can be specific to a user account. Creating a new account can help determine if the problem is account-related.
      • Go to "Settings" and click on "Accounts."
      • Select "Family & other users" from the left sidebar.
      • Under "Other users," click on "Add account."
      • Follow the prompts to create a new user account.
      • Log in to the new account and check if the calendar works correctly.
I hope one of these suggestions helps you resolve the calendar display issue on your Windows 11 system. Let us know if you have any further questions or if there's anything else we can assist you with.

    Hi Glen,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community forums.

Which build of Windows 10 is installed on the computer?

I would suggest you to try with the following steps.

    Method 1:

Sign out of the calendar app and then sign back in.

If it does not help, try to reset the calendar app. To reset the app, please follow the steps mentioned below.

    Open the Settings app.

In settings app, click on ‘Apps.

Locate ‘Mail and Calendar’ app in the list of installed apps and click on it.

Click on ‘Advanced options’ under the app name, scroll down and click on ‘Reset’

Launch the Calendar app and go to ‘Month view’ and check if the issue is fixed.

    Method 2:

Try with uninstalling and reinstalling the app.

Disclaimer: Uninstalling ‘Mail and Calendar’ will require you to reconfigure the accounts with Mail app when reinstalled.

To uninstall the application, please follow the below mentioned steps.

Right click on Start button and choose ‘Windows PowerShell (admin).

    Type in the command: ‘Get-AppxPackage *microsoft.windowscommunicationsapps* | Remove-AppxPackage
and press the enter key which should remove the app from Windows.

To reinstall it, please open the Store app.

Go to search bar and type ‘Mail and calendar’, click on the app name in suggestions list.

Next, click on ‘Get’ to get the application reinstalled.

    Hope it helps.

Month View of Calendar in Task Bar Windows 11

Does anyone know how I can change the view of the calendar in the taskbar of Windows 11?

When I click the date/time (today is January 19th) "February 2023" pops up and it shows me half of January and half of February. Even if I scroll I can never get all of January in one screen view.

What I want is to click the date/time and have the whole month view of the month we are currently in.
