Windows 10: Why does Windows 11 require a Security Key instead of a password to connect to the internet?

When traveling I try to connect to a new network and am required to use a 'Security Key' and not a password. I cannot find a security key on the router. Why can't I use the password?

suggest best internet security/antivirus for windows 7

Hello,

I m using HP envy 3090nr laptop having windows 7 home premium.

I was using norton internet security previously which was very good, no virus problem so far.

But i want to know any other internet security which is better or similar and free?

Give your suggestions for best free as well as best paid internet security.

Also give your opinion for microsoft security essentials.

Some tentative suggestions -
1 Perhaps you mean the 'Security key' for a WiFi network?
2 Perhaps you mean the 'Security key' for your router's Admin functions that is controlling your WiFi network?
3 Perhaps you mean your Windows user account login 'password' or a 'PIN' that you have set it up to accept instead?
