  1. How to disable windows scrolling to a textbox when I type in it?

Whenever I type in any textbox on any website or application, Windows decides to automatically scroll to that textbox. It is inconvenient and annoying, and I absolutely hate it. Is there any way to disable this, including literally hacking into the system files and deleteing code?

    :)

  2. How do I scroll horizontally in a textbox?

Many textboxes are single-line but still allow you to enter as many characters as necessary. However, I have noticed that you cannot scroll horizontally to edit text other than what is currently visible. This makes it virtually impossible to edit text
that has already been typed without using the backspace key and retyping everything. Is there some way to scroll horizontally in a textbox that I am unaware of? Thanks.

  3. How do I scroll horizontally in a textbox?

It applies to any textbox that touches the side of the screen, because it is not moving to the end of the textbox that you need to do to scroll, it is moving just a tad beyond the end of the textbox, which you obviously cannot do when a "tad beyond the
end of the textbox" is off the screen. I cannot give you an example, because I don't believe any of the apps that come as part of Windows Phone 7 have textboxes that touch the edge of the screen.

    Hi,

I suggest you to follow the below steps to disable the smooth scrolling and check if it helps.

    • Navigate to System Properties by right clicking
      Properties from my computer.
    • Click on Advanced and click on
      Performance settings
      .
    • In Visual Effects tab of Performance Options window, click
Custom. Then deselect the following items to Disable some unnecessary eye candy:
    • Uncheck Smooth-scroll list boxes.
