  1. After Update - Always need to relogin into my microsoft account AND setup the pin again

After i never got help through the last thread ill try again.."Hello, am I the only one? After every update that I install on Windows 11, after my computer is rebooted, I have to log in to my Microsoft account again and set up the PIN all over. It's pretty annoying. Is there something I can do to fix this, or is it just a bug? I've been experiencing this for three years now."I had this reply: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/after-update-always-need-to-relogin-into-my/d6b78a3b-76ca-41df-8f75-0f8d296c9252"Hello DarkRick1337,Welcome to the Microsoft Community.I understand yo

  2. After Update - Always need to relogin into my microsoft account AND setup the pin again

    Hello DarkRick1337,

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

I understand your question and it may be related to system configuration or settings.

This issue is common with AMD CPUs. Is your CPU affected by this?

Here are some steps you can take:

    1. Check User Settings:

    - Open "Settings"

    - Go to "Accounts" > "Sign-in options".

    - Ensure that the option "Clear my credentials every time I sign in" is not selected under "Sign-in options".

If selected, deselect it and save the changes.

    - If the problem still exists, try creating a new local user account to see if the same issue occurs under the new account.

    2. Check Microsoft Account Settings:

    - Log in to your Microsoft account in a web browser.

    - Go to the "Security" or "Security and Login" section and ensure there are no unusual settings

    - Check the account activity log for any unusual logins or activity records.

If there are suspicious records, it may be necessary to change the password and review the account's security status.

    3. Update the System:

    - Open "Settings".

    - Go to "Windows Update".

    - Click "Check for updates" to ensure that the system has installed the latest Windows 11 updates.

    - If updates are available, install them and restart the computer.

    4. Reset PIN:

    - In "Settings", go to "Accounts" > "Sign-in options".

    - In the "PIN" section, select "Change" or "Reset PIN".

    - Follow the on-screen prompts, enter your current password, and set a new PIN.

    - After completion, restart the computer and ensure that the newly set PIN is persistently saved.

Microsoft takes every issue from users very seriously. I have submitted your suggestion through the Feedback Hub, where the development team will review the submitted feedback regularly.

Here is the feedback link, so that other users can vote for it. More votes will lead to more visibility and higher priority to the development team.

Unable to setup Windows Hello, error: incorrect pin

    Hello,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

May I know the complete error code or error message that you are receiving when you try to setup Windows Hello?

Do you have any other user account on the computer?

If yes, does Windows Hello work on that account?

If Windows Hello is not setup on other account, please setup it up and check if it works so that we can narrow down the issue for you.

I suggest to remove the pin and setup a new pin on the child account and check if it works with Windows Hello.

Please follow the steps below to remove and re-add the PIN:

    • Press Windows logo key + I to open Settings.
    • Select Accounts.
    • Click on Sign-in options.
    • Under PIN, remove the pin. There will be prompt to enter password, enter the password and removed the PIN.
    • After the pin is removed, please click on
Add to setup pin for the account.
    • After setting up a new PIN, try to set up Windows Hello.

    Hope it helps.

    Regards,
