Windows 10: Link speed is 1000MB, but speed test won't go above 92

Discus and support Link speed is 1000MB, but speed test won't go above 92 in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; I just recently got this computer, and my downloads speeds were really decent at first around 700mbps on speed test and 80mb/s download on steam, idk...     Link speed is 1000MB, but speed test won't go above 92


    I just recently got this computer, and my downloads speeds were really decent at first around 700mbps on speed test and 80mb/s download on steam, idk exactly when but around 3 days after I got it, I noticed download speeds slowed down to 8mb/s on steam and speed test only got up too 92mbps. My link speed isn't capped and 100/100, so I kind of lost on why the sudden slower speeds.I don't know if this is true, but it seemed to have happened when I used my computers hotspot

    • Do you receive any error message, while trying to access speed test?

    Slow Download Speed

    Hi,

    • I would suggest you to test the speed using any of the speed test website or app to confirm the upload and download speed.
    • I also suggest you to reset the wireless router to check if that helps.
    • You may plug in the Ethernet cable if available and check the speed.
