Windows 10: Win 11 system files corruptionrepeated fresh installs same result also causes BSOD in games

My specs are 5900x + rtx 3080 + gskill 4x8 3600 mhz ram + Samsung 990pro/ 970 evo plus/ WD SN850I also tried all tof the following without enabling DOCP, no OC of any kind, & on all 3 nvme drives. As well as verifying sys files integrity before installing any programsSO, recently i started experiencing this issue where my system would lock up with BSOD during games, in particular but not limited to Hell Divers 2. Curiously there would not even be any event logs that were obvious as to what the issue was. However if i run stress tests such as linpack extreme, 3dmark, furmark, AIDA64 i get

Game controller causes random BSOD

Your device list doesnt indicate any game controller. Not in driver-versions text file. What controller is it? Are you using the microsoft provided driver, a driver on a disk or ? If it was installed, i would suggest going into device manager and making sure the box in the image is unchecked. Yes its for my mouse, but same thing.

 

BSOD after fresh install

Upon checking the dump files, 2 files appeared that causes the BSOD. They are win32k.sys and nvlddmkm.sys.

In the title, you've mentioned that the BSOD happens after a fresh install right? May I know how you fresh install Windows on the system? Did you use a bootable USB flash drive?

Also, how long before the system goes into the BSOD?

Please try the steps given below and check if the issue persists:

Step 1:

I suggest you to right click on the game and try to run as administrator and check.

Step 2: if that doesn't help I suggest you to install game in compatibility mode and check:

Follow the steps below on how to install game in compatibility mode:

1. Download the game from the manufacturer’s website and save it on your local disk.

2. Right click on the setup file of the game and select “Properties”.

3. Select “Compatibility” Tab.

4. Place a check mark next to “Run this program in Compatibility mode” and select operating system from the drop down list.

5. Let the game install and then check the functionality.
