Windows 10: WMI Event ID 63 Warning in Event Viewer

Hello i getting the warning right before my pc freeze it mostly freeze in the game Satisfactory but saw it freeze in FiveM too Specs:4070 I7-14700KF the rma one after bios update64gb ddr4 ram 3200mobo Z690 Pro A Wifi DDR4 Msiand i running the game from Samsung 980 pro nvme

WMI Event ID 63 Warning in Event Viewer

Hi all,

On the 7.7.2022 (DD.MM.YY) my Reliability Monitor listed an update which was performed "Intel - SoftwareComponent - 2130.1.15.0". I frequently check the Event Viewer for any Errors etc. This time the mentioned Event ID 63 with the Description:

"A provider, IntelMEProv, has been registered in the Windows Management Instrumentation namespace root\Intel_ME to use the LocalSystem account. This account is privileged and the provider may cause a security violation if it does not correctly impersonate user requests." - was showing up 3 times in a row ever since the mentioned Intel update was performed.

Everything is functional as usual and i haven't had any BSOD or errors of any kind. Although i'm concerned since it shows up everytime i start/restart my PC. Sometimes just out of nowhere while i'm on my PC. I tracked down the Driver Update in the Device Manager which is the "Intel(R) Management Engine WMI Provider" within the "Software components". The Driver Version in the Device Manager matches with the Driver Version mentioned in the Reliability Monitor.







Information about this Event ID is very minimal and not helpful. I've read some people performed a Driver rollback and the Log vanished. Some had GSOD and BSOD after updating or rolling back the update. Some say this Warning can be safely ignored but some also experienced multiple BSOD or weird behaviour with Windows

Windows 10 64 bit

ASUS Z490 Plus-wifi

Intel I9 10900k

Corsair Vengeance LPX 3600Mhz 2x16GB

ASUS TUF RTX 3090

1x Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB

1x Samsung 860 EVO Basic 2TB

Performing a System Restore from a restore point is my last option, since i'm hesitant touching any of that stuff.

For any Tips/Advice or Solutions for this problem I am very thankful in advance.

 

WMI Event ID 63 Warning in Event Viewer

I am 100% sure you have nothing to worry about, this is a vey common problem, it is best to follow the advice that Microsoft provide and ignore events and errors in the Event Viewer, provide you are not experiencing problems in windows.

 

I keep getting Event ID 63 - WMI - Provider: IntelMEProv

Yesterday my pc updated a driver called: Intel - SoftwareComponent - 2130.1.15.0 .When I restarted my PC today I got this warning:

Is this something to be concerned about? or I can just ignore it? This warning only shows up when I restart my PC, when shutting down it doesn't show up on my event viewer

edit: I think I managed to stop the warnings, by restoring a system restore point before the update
