Windows 10: HP ProBook 450 G8 fingerprint issue

I have recently bought a new laptop and I wanted to check out the fingerprint sensor. But when I try the Windows Hello Sign In options it shows that we couldn't find a fingerprint scanner compatible with the Windows Hello. Same is the case with facial recognition. I tried to check the biometric devices but it is unavailable in the device manager . My laptop is an HP ProBook 450 G8. I have just installed the latest windows 10 update i.e. 22H2. Can you please look into this.

Not able to upgrade to windows 11 on new HP PROBOOK 450 G8

Hi,

I am not able to upgrade from windows 10 pro to windows 11 on my brand new HP PROBOOK 450 G8. I don't see upgrade feature in update and security in windows.

HP support team directed me to contact Microsoft.

Please help.

I have already check PC health check, compatibility all are fine.

Thank you for the update.

Have you tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling the Fingerprint driver?

Just to verify, please refer to the following link, choose Windows 10 (64-bit) as the operating system and expand the node
Driver - Keyboard, Mouse an Input Devices. Download and install the Synaptics (Validity) Fingerprint Sensor Driver and check if the issue persists.
