Windows 10: No Internet connection when UEFI mode is enabled

HiWhen I enable the UEFI mode from BIOS, there is no internet connection. I can connect to Wi-Fi but it says secured not connected. The Ethernet has the same problem and there is no internet connection. I tried updating drivers, disabling and enabling network drivers, uninstalling and restarting windows, updating bios and restarting modem. Nothing worked. I have ASUS ROG STRIX Z690-A motherboard. BIOS version is currently 3901.OS version: 10.0.22631 Build 22631I'm trying to play VALORANT and its Anti cheat needs secure boot to be enabled.   Did you make any changes to the computer prior to the issue? Is it an abrupt issue?

1. One laptop using its Ethernet connection for Internet access and its WiFi adapter to broadcast.

2. One laptop that is connected to the Internet through a mobile USB modem and broadcasts the wireless network through its WiFi adapter.

As an initial recommendation, I suggest you to check if the following steps help to resolve the issue.

Step-1. Disable wi-fi adapter.

Step-2. Enable it again.

Step-3. Create wi-fi hot spot again.

Step-4. Now share network connection from where internet is connected to wi-fi hotspot adapter.

Unable to connect to the internet on Windows 10

Provide us additional information to assist you better with this issue:

• Are trying to access wired/ wireless internet connection?
• Are you referring to reset of the Windows 10 operating system?
• Were you able to see any error code/ error message while trying to connect the internet?
• Have you turned on Airplane mode on your computer?

This issue might have occurred due to incorrect networking settings/ corrupted/ outdated network drivers.

Let us try few of the below troubleshooting steps and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to check if the Airplane mode is turned on. If so turn it off and check.

• Press Windows key, click on Settings

• Click on Network & Internet.
• Under Airplane mode turn it off and check.

Network Adapter is enabled in Device Manager.

• Press Windows + X keys from the keyboard, click on

• In the left pane, click on View all.
• Click on Network Adapter Troubleshooter.
• Select Advance and click on
  Run as Administrator.
• Click Next and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the troubleshooting process.

UEFI vs Legacy boot mode

Switching to UEFI bios on GPU does not enable UEFI mode if motherboard is set CSM = On. Setting CSM = Off in my experience causes Windows 7 issues, even if installed as UEFI mode with GPT partition on storage device.
