Windows 10: can i sync my free microsoft 365 subscription that i got with my new laptop to my phone?

Hi, I live in India, and I recently got my Dell laptop, it has free Microsoft 365 subscription for lifetime. now I want to sync it to my phone to use it whenever I want from my phone. But the salesman said everything will get erased if I do that, but also my uncle who has expert knowledge in this field says otherwise.I am confused and don't want to take risk so that's why I came to the Microsoft community itself to get some clarity and help.I don't know what to do.

Do I still need my Microsoft 365 Family subscription?

Do I still need Microsoft 365 Family subscription if I bought a new laptop and purchased Office pro for it? I also have MS Office products on my iPhone, and I cannot seem to get my Outlook calendar to sync properly between my phone and my laptop.

I have given my microsoft 365 password to the new business owner so that he can access the emails. I have got a new subscription and a new 365 account with a different user name and password. When I log into this account I cannot see any of my documents or programs. HOW do I get access to all my documents etc on my new account and then get rid of my old account so I can install my new subscription to office? Please answer me in plain english. I have been around computers for 33 years and I'm baffled. I have two administrator accounts now on the same computer. I thought I had cracked the problem when I managed to change my subscription on my laptop, except I hadn't as I have no documents etc there either. My emails haved synced though.
