    Hello,A few weeks ago, I started having trouble with my network ethernet adapter Wi-Fi was working fine. I was unable to connect to the internet, and when I opened the network settings, they stopped responding immediately. I tried everything, but nothing worked, so I restored Windows to a previous recovery point. I didn't use the computer for a while, so I didn't notice that the firewall wasn’t running. Now the issues are worse than before:I cannot start the Firewall.I cannot open any images in Photos.I cannot open Microsoft Store it’s completely gone after I tried to reinstall it followi

    Not related to this issue...

    The issue is the service is not starting, most likely it is not starting because it is disabled for one reason or another in the system services list.

    Windows and other Firewall software, runs independently from your internet options or network connections. Norton itself will look to see if you have a firewall installed or setup, if you don't it will try to sell your its own. *Smile Windows 10 firewall issues, cannot start many windows programs/services :)

    yes i am sure i am having no issues with a router. this is at my work. and i only have issues with the windows 7 firewall.

    as for adding ports, i do it the same as what is listed in your picture.

    Windows Firewall blocking program even with inbound/outbound rule enabled.

    Windows firewall is like a fart when you have squirty dumplings, you shouldn't really trust it.


    Disable the private network firewall, if the application works fine do this.

    Open a CMD prompt window with admin rights. type in "netstat" without the quotes and press enter. You should get a list of what IP and port is connecting to what port and or service. Open those ports for the application, or just allow those ports to be unfiltered.
