Windows 10: How do I get my camera to show a live image?

The camera is turned on and active but doesn't show an image when in use.

Camera app not showing image

The camera app on Windows 10 is not showing any image despite the camera is turned on (light next to the camera). Any suggestions on how to solve this problem?

Are you using the latest Windows Live Mail? Follow the steps below:

  Open your Windows Live Mail.

  Click on the Menu button then click Options. (menu button is "File" tab-top left)
  
• 
  Select Safety Options.
  
• 
  Go to Security, under Download Images, the following should be these settings:
  
• 
  Block images and other external content in HTML email should be unchecked.
  
• 
  Show images and external content sent from email addresses in my
  Safe senders list should be checked.
  
• 
  Click Apply then OK.

Hello,

Regarding your concern, do the following:

• Install the Lumia Creative Studio app.
• Once the said app is installed, go to Settings >
  Privacy > Background apps.
  • Set the following app to On:
    • Lumia Creative Studio
    • Lumia motion data
    • Microsoft Photos
    • Windows Camera
• Make sure that the Living Images settings is enabled in the Camera app.
• Soft reset your phone by pressing and holding the Volume down +
  Power keys until it vibrates.
• Take Living Image pictures after your phone restarts.
