Windows 10: Touchpad Not Working on Lenovo Yoga 7 16IRL8 Laptop 12C HID Device

The 12C HID Device in device manager has an exclamation mark on it and in the status it shows:"This device cannot start. Code 10 A request for the HID descriptor failed."I used to be able to fix it by restarting the device, disabling then re-enabling it or uninstalling the "12C HID Device" and restarting. Though now it is not getting fixed after numerous restarts, disabling and re-enabling etc. Tried to find the driver to install from Lenovo but could not find it. On the manufacturer it says Microsoft so I found this site "Microsoft Update Catalog" there but got some "ELAN Mouse" which when

Touchpad Not Working (12C HID Device)

For the last week I’ve been unable to use the touchpad on my laptop, going into Device Manager the lower 12C HID Device has a warning symbol on it.

Device status states “This device cannot start (Code 10)” followed by “A request for the HID descriptor failed”). After attempting to update the he driver and then disabling/enabling it failed I decided to Uninstall and then Reinstall the device, this worker for a day until the issue again persisted.

The touchpad had issues like this before but never this long or serious, and it’s with the same Code 10 issue. As well I am unable to update the driver as it says that the “best drivers” already installed is the other 12C HID device.

I need help with this, as the laptop I am using is used for school and although it has a touchscreen it’s incredibly inconvenient to use.
