    Some the keys on my keyboard aren't working. Everything was working perfectly for months and just recently some of the keys on my laptop stopped working. Exp. Shift, d, 5. I thought I fixed the problem after i deleted and reinstalled my keybord drivers. But shortly they stopped working again. This time I've tried Updating and reinstalling the keyboard drivers, factory reseting my laptop, and using the hardware and device troubleshooter. But all I find is that It says there's a problem updating the drivers then says it changed some things and to restart the laptop but when I do it does and

    I happen to have used the Tt Challenger Pro keyboard in the past, and the volume keys worked flawlessly in every game, so it's indeed a weird problem. I would suggest the same thing sneekypeet suggested, using the keyboard software and assign this function to a hotkey, but you said that didn't work either, so yeah...

    I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

    Step 1: You may check if the ALT key is functioning correctly in on-screen keyboard. It will help us to verify if there is any issue with the keyboard.

    Follow the steps below to open On-screen Keyboard.


    • Windows + Q, type OSK (on-screen keyboard)

    • And check if it works
    Step 2: Run Hardware and device Troubleshooter.

    Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with hardware and devices. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your devices. Refer these steps:


    • Press Windows key +X, select Control panel.

    • Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons.

    • Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel.

    • Run the Hardware and devices troubleshooter.

    Change the Keyboard Settings - Follow these steps:

    1. Right-click on the Windows Start button and open the Settings app.
    2. Select the Accessibility tab from the left sidebar.
    3. Click on Keyboard on the right side of the screen.
    4. Disable the toggles next to Sticky keys, Filter keys, and Toggle keys.
    5. Disable the toggle next to Underline access keys.
    6. Then, go to Typing under Related settings.
    7. Turn off the toggles next to Show text suggestions when typing on the physical keyboard and Multilingual text suggestions.
    8. After that, click on Advanced keyboard settings and make sure the correct language option is selected.
