Windows 10: Access denied on Attrib command when I am an admin with full control in an elevated command...

Why am I getting Access denied when running ATTRIB +U on a group of files in my OneDrive folder?I am an AdminI have Full Control on these filesI am running this from an elevated command promptI can right-click on the files in question from File Explorer and choose "Free up space" and it works just fine.What am I missing?

I am trying to clear system attribute of hibefil.sys file.

attrib -h -s hiberfil.sys /s

Access denied - C:\hiberfil.sys

Can you guide me how I can remove this file. I am unable to boot Windows.

 

Attrib Command

I heard attrib command can delete virus. I haven't try this command before. If I use attrib command to delete virus in system32 by deleting S H R in command prompt. Is attrib command by deleting S H R in system32 in command prompt will damage my PC?

It's possible that you're not using an elevated command prompt, causing the Access Denied error. We suggest following these steps to properly disable the built-in administrator account:

• Right-click the Start button.
• Choose Command Prompt (Admin).
• Copy and paste net user Administrator /active:no and press
  Enter. If the command isn't successful, please post a screenshot so that we can study it further.

Let us know if you're able to hide the administrator account after following these steps.
