  1. New PC Build - Worked Great at First. Now crashes after loading to the desktop

I've built a new PC that after updating all of the drivers and installing Steam, played games perfectly for the first day of use. Upon starting the computer the next day, and every attempt thereafter, the PC will boot to the desktop smoothly and then crash suddenly. The message that comes up on the screen is actually the blue screen of death text, however it is not blue and for some reason, there are multiple images of it duplicated across the screen. Never seen anything like it. For some reason, it will not allow me to upload a screenshot.Specs:CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3DGPU: RADEON RX 6950 XTMB

*FIXED* New desktop build works great EXCEPT crashes everytime when entering sleep mode!

Thank you Prakhar for your reply.

    1) im running the latest windows 10 pro 64bit 1909 version, all updates applied.

    2) this is a new pc build, so no changes prior to the issue. Besides this issue my PC works perfect, even passes 4+ hour stress test.

Tried safe mode, which only showed hibernate and not sleep, but hibernate actually worked.

So then tried clean boot mode.

Sleep now seems to be working, and like in safe mode hibernate is functioning properly under clean boot mode as well.

Ill try to narrow down which offending startup item it is.

    Thank you!

New build - will it work great?

    Hi,

A friend of mine asked me to choose the best stuff for a build around €500 (including taxes), but it's been a while since I built my PC, so I'm not really sure.

    This is what I found:
    • Processor: Intel Core i5-4440
    • Motherboard: ASRock H87M
    • Memory: Kingston 4GB KIT DDR3 1600MHz CL9 HyperX
    • Video Card: GIGABYTE R779OC-1GD
    • Hard Disk: Western Digital Green 500GB 64MB cache
    • Optical Drive: LG GH24NS
    • Case: Cooler Master Elite 372
    • Power Supply: Corsair CX430
    Will it work together?

If you have any suggestions, please let me know. Should I change anything for a better/cheaper one?

It's mainly for everyday stuff like browsing the Internet or watching movies. However, my friend would also like to play some games, but he said it's not the most important, so I was considering a cheaper video card. What do you think about it?

    Thanks in advance!
    Tami

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that you are facing issues with Blue Screen on your PC. I will certainly try my best to assist you with the issue.

For further clarity on the issue, please respond to the questions below:

    1. Which build version of Windows 10 are you using currently?
    2. Are you aware of any changes made to the PC prior to which you weren’t facing this issue?

Refer the article Which version of Windows operating system am I running?

Based on the dump file you have shared, the file ntkrnlmp.exe is causing the Blue Screen of Death. I would suggest you to try booting the PC into Safe Mode and see if the PC crashes. Refer the article Start
your PC in safe mode in Windows 10

If the PC is not crashing in Safe Mode, then try booting the PC in Clean Boot and see if the PC crashes. Refer the article How
to perform a clean boot in Windows

Performing a clean boot will start the computer with minimal set of drivers and programs, to determine whether a background program is causing the issue. Some of the Startup programs will not load after performing a clean boot on the computer.
However, that functionality will return when you reset the computer to start normally after finishing the troubleshooting.

If the PC doesn’t crash after performing Clean Boot, then please refer the section How to determine what is causing the problem after you do a clean boot to identify the root cause of the issue.

Note: Please refer the section Reset the computer to start normally after clean boot troubleshooting to boot the computer in to normal mode after troubleshooting

Let us know how it goes, if the issue persists, we will certainly assist you further.
