Windows 10: I cant access the wifi page on setting and i dont see the wifi icon

Hi, so every time i try to enter the wifi settings page i get kicked out and the settings app shuts down, in the app bar i cant even see the wifi icon.

If you are unable to connect access your wifi router then there must be some problem with connection. I think the following step scan help you to connect it properly to wireless router.

Connect your computer to the wireless router. Although you can access the router wirelessly, it is better to use an Ethernet cable to directly connect to your router so that you can securely adjust router settings. Plug the Ethernet cable into the appropriate Ethernet jack on your computer. Plug the other end of the cable into any one of the open Ethernet ports on the back of your wireless router.

2. Open a Web browser. In the URL address field, enter the IP address for your wireless router. This information should be contained in your router’s manual. If you cannot find it, enter “198.168.1.1” as the address. This is usually the default IP address for most routers.


3. Enter the username and password for your router. This should also be supplied in the router’s manual. If you don’t have this information, go to the RouterPasswords website and find the brand and model of your router. This site lists the default login information for most wireless routers.

4. You should now be able to see your wireless router settings. You can configure your network ports, as well as SSID (wireless network name) and passwords.

 

set up WiFi repeater

It means to open Settings on your device, tap on the WiFi icon. From the list of WiFi networks, select "rockspace_EXT" and connect to the network. This is a must step for you to configure the range extender.

No Wifi settings or Icon

I have a Lenovo G770 and I have Win 10 ...

At the time of upgrade...my Wifi icon was disabled...but that was fixed by the the command prompt(admin)...That was caused due to the incompatible VPN client or something...which most users have been facing...But that was fixed easily..and the WiFi was working
fine.

but yesterday my Wifi was working fine...but suddenly my WiFi icon(the one showing signal strength) disappeared from my taskbar and instead shows a Network icon...I have gone into settings and I checked if the Wifi icon has somehow been disabled from the
taskbar...But the Wifi icon option is not there either...only network icon is there which is enabled..

I have also gone into Settings/Network and Internet...but there is no WiFi setting...

I have a Wifi driver installed(Qualcomm Atheros AR9285 Wireless Network Adapter) and device manager says that "this device is working properly...

So now...There is no WiFi setting or Icon... I have a Network icon....which has a red cross unless I connect the laptop with a Ethernet cable...

I can access the internet with the LAN cable but I cant access it using Wifi as there is no setting or icon for it...

I hope to get an answer within the next few days...if not... I will go back to the previous OS(which I don't want to... I love Win 10!!!)
