New SSD shows up in BIOS, Disk Management, and Device Management but new drive will not...

I installed a new SSD, went to disk management and initialized and attempted to create a new drive. It loads for a while and then gives me “Disk Management Console View is not up to date” When i attempt to format it, it gives me “Disk management has ran into an unexpected error.” I am at a loss as to what my issue could be, my pc wont even recognize a usb drive in file explorer as well.

My Centon 120 gb SSD shows up in BIOS and Win10 Device Manager, but does not show up in Disk Management to enable formatting. How can I format this SSD?

I have a new Dell 8900 with updated drivers and software. I have not added as SSD before and I am afraid I am missing something obvious.

The drive shows up in the BIOS in SATA 4 port. It also is in the Device Manager under the Disk Drives heading as SATA SSD. It does not show up in the listing of drives under Disk Management.

I know it needs to be formatted, but it does not have a drive letter assigned and I do not see how to get it one.

I did try Uninstalling the driver under the Device Manager, it just found the same info after scanning for new hardware.

    Thanks for your help...

SSD showing up as HDD in device manager

    Hi,

I just installed a Samsung SSD 2TB drive. I already have two 2TB and 1TB SSD drives and one old Western Digital 2TB disk drive insatlled. My new SSD drive is working properly. I was able to format it and move files to it, but it shows up as a Western
Digital hard drive in Device Manager. My new drive is listed properly in the BIOS as an SSD drive. Is there any way to fix this? Thanks.

New Samsung SSD not seen by Disk Manager

Bios sees the new SSD, device manager sees the new SSD, but Disk Manager is blind! Device manager says SSD is working properly and has the best Driver. I can't seem to find an answer as to why the new SSD is not seen by the Disk Manager. I cannot Initialize the SSD because the system does not see it where I have to choose to initialize. I even changed SATA port for new SSD to ensure that was not the problem, BIOS followed that change perfectly.

Any thoughts from the community of smart people?
