Windows 10: My HP Envy Laptop Suddenly Has No Sound

Hello,My HP Envy 17.3 inch Laptop PC 17-c has suddenly lost all sound/audio. One minute it worked normally and the next minute it was gone. Control panel and sound settings say there is no sound device connected. Obviously there was sound the whole time I owned and used my laptop. I never connected or disconnected anything. I ran all the audio troubleshooters, tried chat support, HP Support Assistant, I did ALL the normal things you'd do to try to resolve the problem. I keep getting the claim that there is no audio output device connected. Can someone please help.

HP Envy Laptop Battery not charging after Windows 10 installation

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Communities.

I suggest you to un-install and re-install battery drivers from Device manager and check. Follow the steps:

• Press Windows Key + X.
• Click on Device Manager.
• Expand Batteries and right click on Batteries ACPI and click on Un-install.
• Restart the computer and check.

If the issue persist, I suggest you to visit HP Envy website and check whether HP has released any firmware updates for Windows 10. If so, please go ahead and install them and check with the issue.

hp envy laptop

New hp envy laptop kb backlight wont stay on long enough. works ok but goes to sleep to soon. press any key works fine but once the kb is lighted is goes dark in a few seconds. not windows issue since there is no settings for it. it is driving me nuts.. haven'tt found a hp number call for help. it is still under warranty. I would hate to return it since I spent a lot of time setting it up. any sage wise advice out there??
