Windows 10: Opening game bricks windows 11

PC works fine, until I launch Fortnite and Windows 11 stops responding. Every other game on the system launches with no issues. Each time I get the same warning in event viewer: 'The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID {2593F8B9-4EAF-457C-B68A-50F6B8EA6B54} and APPID {15C20B67-12E7-4BB6-92BB-7AFF07997402} to the user DESKTOP-T4V4CNJ\Patrick SID S-1-5-21-3666740883-719466751-2614

• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

i just downloaded a game and it will open and shut automatically

• Please specify the game you are having issue with?
• Are you getting any error messages while opening the game?
• Also, did you download the game from windows Store?

Games cause the computer to freeze seconds after opening them for Windows 10

I suggest to run the game in compatibility mode by following the steps below and check if it helps.

  Right click on the ‘Setup’ icon for the game and click on properties.
