Windows 10: Microsoft Sculpt Keyboard Stop Working Once Numeric Keypad Battery is Put In

Hello,I own a Microsoft Sculpt keyboard, and all of a sudden, most of my keyboard stops working once I put the battery in the numeric keypad - the function row still works, but nothing else works. As soon as I remove the battery from the numeric keypad, the keys on my actual keyboard start working again.I've uninstalled the driver and reinstalled it as well as switched batteries on both the numeric keypad and the keyboard itself. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Keyboard, Mouse and Numeric keypad

I had a set of the above ie Microsoft Sculpt ergonomic keyboard, moue and numeric keypad which all worked fine until I broke the bluetooth receiver.

I bought a universal bluetooth receiver but it didn't work and so I returned it.

I ended up buying a new keyboard on its own with a bluetooth receiver. It didn't come with the numeric keypad or mouse.

I've been trying to connect up my old mouse and numeric keypad to the new bluetooth receiver but with no joy.

I have followed various steps suggested when I have searched for the solution, including uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers etc.

My computer is not finding the mouse.

How can I pair up my old mouse and numeric keypad with the new keyboard and receiver?

Hello, I just purchased the Microsoft Sculpt Desktop with the separate numeric keypad, and the mouse and keyboard are working, but the separate numeric keypad is not working. I have turned the Fn key on the keypad to the left, and the numeric keypad has
a battery in it that came with it, but I get no response when I type on the keypad.

 

MS Microsoft Sculpt Keyboard/Mouse - Keypad's NUMBERS stopped working overnight

I have had the sculpt keyboard/mouse set for almost 6 months and the keypad numbers have stopped working last night on both computers I use at home and work.

If I turn the Num Lock off, all of the numeric keys (which are numeric when num lock is on) work just fine (e.g. direction, pg up etc). Several of the top row keys work when the num lock is on (e.g. calculator shortcut and backspace).

I have ordered new batteries (not sure why that would matter - but I am) and I reinstalled the MS Mouse and Keyboard 2.7.133.
