Windows 10: Event 17 Source: DPTF causing PC to crash

Hi,I've got an HP Z2 G8 PC running Windows 11 23H2 that crashes every few days with error 17, source: DPTF. All the latest Windows updates and driver updates appear to be installed. The event viewer shoes the error as:ESIF8.7.10802.26924 TYPE: ERROR MODULE: ACTION FUNC: EsifGetActionDelegateCnfg FILE: esif_uf_action_delegate.c LINE: 1168 TIME: 16456 msInvalid GDDV Object [length=12]Does anyone have any suggestions to help with this?Kind regards.

Windows 10 Event ID 17, DPTF Application Error

Hello,

I need some information on the subject error. Can anyone tell me what it is and what it might do to the system? MS Support site is LESS than helpful...

Machine Details: Dell Precision 7510 running Windows 10 (all system updates performed). Connected to Dell Docking station with wired Gigabit ethernet connected to ISP Router directly, using IPv4 and static IP setup. Extra Dell 24" HD monitor connected to
docking station to provide 2 screens for viewing.

Symptoms: Main notebook screen goes black. If I react fast enough I am able to quickly go to the windows icon on the attached monitor and shut the system down. If not, the 2nd monitor will start to lose taskbar functionality and I am not able to shut down
(ctrl-alt-del does not function), screen eventually goes black as well then the mouse stops and then disappears... Once I lose ctrl-alt-del and the taskbar, I have to do a hard shutdown of the system and reboot. This is the most likely culprit I can tell

The description for Event ID 256 from source DPTF cannot be found. ERROR FUNC: EsifEventProcess FILE: esif_uf_event.c Invalid event source received

I have Alienware 17 R2 laptop, OS is Windows 10. I started getting a lot of these errors in Event Viewer.

Today I also got BSOD...

As I understand DPTF (Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework) is related to a laptop battery management, how big an issue this is, or this is unlikely to be related to BSOD?
