Windows 10: spotify app appears in start menu, but isnt listed under apps?

im removing uneccessary apps from a new laptop, and im confused as to why the spotify app appears in the start menu right clicking it, it gives me the option to uninstall but it does not appear in the list of apps in my settings page settings>installed appsvery confused as to why this is.i have also uninstalled the microsoft news app, yet it still keeps giving me popups about fiscal trends and if i hover over it, it comes up with news page about sports and markets not interested!if someone could explain why, that would be great. i havent used windows in a long time and ive never used

In Win 10 some apps are not listed in the Start Menu

Two of my most used programs are listed in the uninstall programs list, but do not appear in All Apps in the Start Menu, nor do they appear in the Most Used list in the Start Menu. Any suggestion how I can add them to my Start Menu, other than with tiles,
which I do not use?

 

Unable to add to All apps list in Start Menu


I can place a new folder or custom shortcut in the correct start menu location (current user or all users) but it will not appear in the All apps list. If I go to the folder or shortcut and right-click Pin to Start it will appear as a tile in the start menu, but still will not show up in the All apps list. I think this behavior started with Version 1511 since it was working for me in the previous version.
