  1. How do I fix Windows Security??

So, how do I fix the “Contact IT Helpdesk” problem for Windows Security? I’ve already done all of the steps, and done everything that’s been recommenced. Resetting Windows Security via Settings in Windows 11: 1. Open the Settings app directly or by pressing the Windows key + I. 2. Navigate to "Apps" in the left pane and select "Apps & Features" on the right. 3. Locate "Windows Security" and click on the three dots next to it. 4. Choose "Advanced options" from the context menu. 5. Click on the "Reset" option within the "Reset" section of Windows Security. But yet the problem is still

  2. Windows 8 Secure Boot Feature: Not So Secure?

So Linux is switching to secure boot also? Or they have to because of UEFI?

Windows 8 Secure Boot Feature: Not So Secure?

    • Linux
    • Linux
    • Linux
    • Linux
    • Oh and OSX
Here is a statement from a Kernal Developer at Red Hat:

I'm not sure this exploits the legacy BIOS but rather it exploits the legacy boot method on MBR drives, injecting a signed key before the OS boots, which you are correct in that it has nothing to do with Windows 8. And the simplest fix would just be to require boot drives use GPT when Secure Boot is enabled in UEFI.

How do I fix Windows Security??

    Microsoft Edge TLS Security

After trying everything (not a lot of steps) listed in the Microsoft Edge support site, I did a wider search and found this very simple youtube video that fixed it immediately:

For those who prefer not to click links the steps are simple:

    1. Click in the Cortana search bar next to the Win 10 Start button

    2. Type internet options

    3. Select internet options (control panel) from the list

    4. Click on the advanced tab

    5. Scroll down to the security section

    6. Make sure the following are all clicked:
    Use SSL 3.0
    Use TLS 1.0
    Use TLS 1.1
    Use TLS 1.2

    7. Click apply

    8. Refresh the page that was giving the error and it should now connect.

Hope this helps, it was a 30 second fix after hours of pounding my head against the error with the Support site suggestions.
