Windows 10: Reopening this continuing bug: Windows icon shows no Internet, but Internet works and...

This problem has been such a plague and a menace and I've gone through many hours and used all the ALWAYS useless "Windows will fix it" tools they haven't worked since windows xp!, but this random problem continually crops up many different brands of machines: Dell, Lenovo & HP. Removing their network drivers doesn't work. Editing the registry doesn't work. Updating already updated drivers doesn't work. Resetting the network doesn't work. Replacing the NIC with a completely different brand doesn't work. Restoring to old set point doesn't work 1 worked until I ran a Windows update -the

Strange problem with connectivity to internet

just checked but internet explorer isn't in list in programms and features in control panel. *Frown

 

No internet icons showing up-can not logon to internet

When I boot up my laptop the internet icon on the task bar shows a red "X" and none of my internet icons are listed. The airplane mode is turned off, the Wi-Fi switch is in the on position, the wireless router is working fine(my wife can logon with no problem). I looked at the Device Manager and it shows everything is running properly. Anyone have any ideas as what is going on?

 

Microsoft Internet Explorer renamed to Windows Internet Explorer ?




Since version 7 of the world`s most popular web browser - Microsoft Internet Explorer was silently renamed to Windows Internet Explorer.Such a step from Microsoft is not a surprise since Internet Explorer is part of the Windows operation system for a long time.Obviously Microsoft corp. wants to state that Internet Explorer is already considered as a part of Windows and not as an external browser (remember the IE and WMP law issues last year!?).
