Windows 10: How do I fix my “black screen of death” without advanced options.

Hello,Recently my pc has run into an issue of the “black screen of death” upon updating my windows 10 system. I have tried to troubleshoot my pc and reset my windows although I am missing advanced options within my pc when i hold shift and restart. I have gone through my UEFI options and tried different boot options. Upon trying to diagnose my computer i have come with two error codes 0xc0000001 and also 0xc0000098. My pc was a pre-built NZXT computer with windows already inside of the computer. So I feel stumped. I ran a cmd.exe and chkdsk c: from my task manager. It stated that files were co

I read a report a little while ago that said the black screens were nothing to do with updates but due to a malicious program (it hit more than just windows 7 users - vista, xp and 2000 were also prone to the black startup screen of death if infected). My windows 7 install is fully up-to-date and i've never had the black startup screen.

Just run some decent anti virus and you should be safe (i suggest microsoft security essentails since it's free and pretty decent). When you've installed an anti-virus i'd suggest doing a full scen to be sure there's nothing there.
