Windows 10: My pc Keeps freezing/crashing when playing games or using applications.

I have a Ryzen 7 3700XROG STRIX B450-F GAMINGGEFORCE RTX 206032 GB DDR4 3200MHz ram1 tb HARD Drive500gb ssd Almost every time I play a game or use an application like Discord my PC completely freezes and it either stays frozen or the screen goes black and crashes. When it freezes completely I reset my PC by turning off and on the power supply. My PC Boots up perfectly fine after.I have tried Run System File CheckerSFCUpdating GPU driversScanned my HD And used the Windows Memory Diagnostic tool

pc keeps crashing/freezing while playing games

Hi, recently my pc has been crashing or freezing while playing games. First, it starts with my frames going under 30, then after a while it reboots or it will just freeze and I have to forcefully turn it off. Gpu temps are around 65 and cpu temps are around 75. Have hade this pc for about 7 years now and have never had this problem. I never have changed anything in the bois settings, overclocked, etc. Just work, play a few games then turn it off. Any ideas on a fix?

 

My pc freezes and crashes while playing fortnite

As the tilte suggests i have been experiencing my pc freezing and crashing while i play fortnite (havent tested any other games). To begin with ive been experiencing fortnite crashing mid game for the past week. I updated drivers windows 10 and unistalled fortnite and installed it again. After the windows update i think that the problem expanded to my pc freezing and crashing. To save you some time i have Autoruns from a previous crashing issue

I can understand how frustrating it would be. This issue might be due to corrupted profile or if the game is not installed completely. I suggest you to follow these steps and let us know if it works.

Could you please help me with the below questions:

• Are you aware of any changes happened on the computer prior to this issue?
  
• Have you tried playing this game on other browser (Google chrome or Mozilla) and check for the issue?
  

Step 1: Uninstall or Repair the game.

1. Press Windows and
   R key together on your Keyboard.
2. Type appwiz.cpl and hit enter.
   
3. Right click on the Hit it Rich app > Select Repair or uninstall it.
4. Reinstall the application and check for the issue.
   

Step 2: Create a new local account.

The reason might be due to user account corruption, so I would suggest you to ‘Create
a local user or administrator account’ and check if the issue persists.

Note: You will not see all your files under your default file location.
So your data will be saved under C:\Users\User_name.
