Windows 10: mouse keeps disappearing and stops working unless i click it again?

Everything i have on my PC is trusted and safe but i have some issue on EVERYTHING where, as the title suggests, my mouse stops working and it disappears unless i click the buttons. it might be because im on Windows 10 or i have a PC that was about £200 from when i was a kid that came installed with an admin account and some fishy apps like one called $torrent or something like that but im really unsure, i have barely no understanding on driver updates or anything to do with stuff like that. just someone help please?If anybody wants a video of this happening i will freely make one for you!

Mouse Pointer Randomly Disappears

I'm on Windows 10 Pro, 10.1.19044, and have been for some time. My mouse pointer randomly disappears, even though it can still function. I have used an Anker Vertical mouse at work and at home for a few years now. The one I use at work died recently. I looked through Amazon for choices for a vertical mouse. I chose a more equipped Anker one with buttons for going backwards and forwards. My employer paid for it. Within the first day of using it, my mouse pointer disappeared. I'm significantly visually impaired and therefore, have a large pointer that is purple. I don't see purple on anything I do at work, which makes this a good mouse pointer color. I restarted my computer. That didn't help. I can see where the pointer is supposed to be, e.g, if I try to move the pointer over some choices in a drop-down list, each one appears like it has focus, but I can't work this way. I went to Task Manager and was able, sort of, to find applications and stop them. Once, closing Firefox fixed it. Another time, closing the Windows magnifier made the pointer reappear. Before we send it back to Amazon, does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this problem? I've never had this happen before, and I assume it's the new mouse that is at fault. Sometime last week when I began using the new Anker mouse, Windows 10 updated itself. I don't know if that is the problem, but I assume it's the mouse. Any suggestions for how to fix this? Wired Keyboard and Mouse Stop Working - Windows 10
I have an old Dell Studio that is running windows 10 ---

Ir has Windows 10 and SSD installed - to me it does what it needs to do but this darn mouse and keyboard stuff stopping working with no rhyme or reason is making me very frustrated.

Keyboard and Mouse are wired - NOT WIRELESS

• I cannot easily unplug and plug in the mouse/keyboard to get it going again... they are still lit up but they are dead basically and I have to do a hard reset.
  
• USB selective suspend is disabled.
• I checked the drivers for the keyboard and mouse and they are updated.
• I checked to see if PC has KB4074588 and it does not.

I am not sure what else to do.... I can go days without the issue and then days where anytime I step away from the PC it stops working.

I can say when it is working it just does not just stop ... only when I walk away and the machine is idle or the screen is locked.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

 

Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Mouse - stops working

Recently after an update to Windows 10, my Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Mouse stops working.

After looking at some posts. The following steps seem to work.

In Device Manager, under Bluetooth uninstall devices, then under actions Scan for hardware changes.

This seems to work and the mouse works again however, these steps are repeated over the course of the day as the mouse stops working randomly.

I also notice that under other devices I have a number of devices that seem to be unknown





I also have a Microsoft phone 950xl and 640 however these drivers are for other nokia phones which we do not have.

Can someone suggest a permanent fix to (a) the Bluetooth mouse not needing to be reset the way I have been doing this (as listed above) and (b) a fix for these other devices.

The laptop I use is a Dell Inspiron 15 - 7000 Series
