Windows 10: My windows 10 always automatically restart for updating which interrupted my running program

Hi:My windows 10 always automatically restart for updating which interrupted my running program because sometimes my program needs to run for days my current errand needs the program to run for about 60 days. I searched online for solutions and find a discussion from learn.microsoft.com https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/1351413/how-do-you-turn-off-windows-10-updates-which-are-r?page=1#answers I tried every suggestion from the discussion including updating my computer registry. However, the computer automatically restarted last night which interrupted my running

i have some questions about the windows automatic updates in windows xp pro w sp/2. ive got about forty updates they recommend , mostly for security but i only installed two today. after installing them i found them in my add/remove programs in the control panel, if i add all these updates that is a lot of space on my hd almost 1 gig. i thought that updates just updated files and not created new programs. should i innore all these update suggestions from microsoft?

4. If Service status is set to Stopped, click Start, and then click OK.

5. Right-click Background Intelligent Transfer Service, and then click Properties.

6. In the Startup type list, click Manual, and then click Apply.

7. If Service status is set to Stopped, click Start, and then click OK.
