Sound coming out from only subwoofer and one speaker

Hello,I bought brand new speakers 2 speakers and 1 subwoofer. They work perfectly when I plug them into my phone. But when I plug them into my PC, sound is coming out from only left speaker and subwoofer. I put my ear to right speaker and it makes noise, so it's definitely not the fault of the speakers. I checked the balance, adjusting right speaker's volume just do nothing, but adjusting left speaker's volume is the same as adjusting volume of the whole audio device. It's woth mention that before these speakers, I had 2 speakers and 1 subwoofer too, only that they were 10 years old and diff

  2. Speaker works when plugged into computer but not subwoofer

    Hi,

To further isolate your concern, we'd just like to clarify the following information:

    • Have you tried using the Subwoofer with different speakers?
    • Have you tried plugging the speakers and the Subwoofer on different laptop or PC?

Looking forward for any information that you may provide.

Subwoofer on 2.1 THX Desktop Speakers Not Functioning

Hello @capitollimited , welcome to Ten Forums.

I also have Klipsch Pro Media 2.1 THX speakers (non blue tooth version). They are plugged into the green audio jack on the back of the motherboard. They (including the subwoofer) work fine.
I also have a Realtek sound chip.

I don't really mess with any of the sound settings, but in the Realtek Audio Console I noticed this one setting that seems like it might cause the symptoms you're seeing???

In the RED circle... notice that the checked box, says: Front, left and right. I'm assuming that Front is the subwoofer.

I just went through every sound setting (Windows and Realtek) that I can find...this was the only one that seemed to have to do with a left and right speaker... and another speaker.

Like I said... I left everything at defaults. (Windows and Realtek).

/edit Only other thing I can think of, is to make sure you plugged the 3.5mm jack IN all the way, on the back of the motherboard.

    /edit

Probably doesn't matter, but I'm on this driver from the ASUS website (2019)
    And my Realtek chip... HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_1168&SUBSYS_10438733&REV_1001

Asus subwoofer not working on windows 10

    Hi Marcus,

There might be a chance that if default audio device is not selected as external subwoofer that's the reason of no sound from external subwoofer. So, I would suggest you to check the default audio device and see if it not selected as default then try to
set it as default. For performing these task you may refer to the steps provided below.

    • Windows key + X, click Control Panel, click
Hardware and Sound, and then click Sound.
    • Playback tab. Make sure the correct default audio device is selected. (For most users, the default audio device is
      Speakers.)
    • Playback tab, select the correct device, click Properties, click the
Advanced tab, and make sure that Default Format is set to the value that you expect. When finished, click OK.
    • Playback tab, select the playback device, click Configure, and then make sure the configurations are set correctly.

If the sound settings are set correctly, and your speakers are already set as the default device, go to "Verify that an audio driver is installed" now.

    • Set Default.
    • OK to save your settings.

    Do keep us updated.

    Regards,
